Eastham Public Library
Display Policy
The Eastham Public Library aims to be an information hub where community members can find out about different community resources and programs. To ensure that all community groups and organizations are afforded the same opportunity to promote their offerings, the Board of Trustees has established the following policy for the display of promotional materials in the library:
- The advertisement of library programs and services takes precedence over the advertisement of other community programs and services. Therefore, certain areas of the library may be designated for the promotion of library programs only.
- Library staff will accept a single (1) flyer/poster from local organizations to advertise their programs or services to the community.
- Community posters and flyers are limited to a single (1) sheet of paper with a maximum size of 8.5’’ x 11’’.
- Only library staff members and select library volunteers are permitted to post flyers in designated areas of the library.
- Designated display areas are determined by library staff and may change depending on the needs of the library.
- Due to space constraints on our bulletin boards and display areas, library staff may choose to:
- Relocate posters or flyers advertising continual/on-going services (with no timeframe or end date) to our community binder for on-going community reference.
- Make small adjustments to the posters (including, but not limited to, trimming the margins) to accommodate additional posters on our bulletin boards.
- Hold off on displaying a community poster until closer to the event date.
- Questions or concerns about the Display Policy should be directed to the Library Director.
